MOLDCARE "MR Safe" Evaluation Results

The use of MR-Linac Systems for delivering Radiation Therapy treatment is continuing to grow in popularity worldwide. This has led to an increase in demand for "MR Safe" immobilization devices.

We evaluated MOLDACRE customizable patient support cushions to confirm it is safe for use in all MR environments, without conditions.

MOLDCARE

- is composed of materials that are electrically nonconductive, nonmetallic, and nonmagnetic,

- does not have sharp-edged parts,

- does not generate a magnetically induced toque of more than or equal to the gravitational torque on the device, and

- does not generate a magnetically induced deflection force of more than or equal to the gravitational force on the device.

Hence, MOLDCARE

- does not cause radio frequency inducted heating.

- does not affect image quality.

- does not cause tissue damage.

Based on the evaluation results, we confirm MOLDCARE is an "MR Safe" customizable patient support cushion that can be used safely and securely in MRI environments.
